Quite a while back I wanted to make an epic pokemon stadium. I wasn’t until now that I had any solid ideas. First came the battle platform itself, then the rest slowly came to me. The whole project took about 4 days. There’s a little more to it than what you’re seeing in the pictures here, so I’ll probably make some kind of video tour and hopefully provide a save file later. Oh yeah, that last shot is my attempt at making a Starmie using icebeam while a mew uses protect.
Here’s the .schematic file: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1774906/Russer-Pokemon%20Stadium.schematic
And a map with the stadium pasted in. It’s an out of date format now but hopefully it can convert: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ej0o2w5c7qkd154/PMJqKUdHaT/Russer%27s%20Pokemon%20Stadium.rar

Well, i like your projects so far 😛 most of them seem quite complicated, so i wont have a try at those, but it is great inspiration for us. So keep up the good work, looking forward to your next builds ^^

Sorry to bother you even further, but that is a .schematic file.
What program should i open it with?
rjdthomson
May 25, 2011
oh, you open it with a program called MCEdit, it lets you place the stadium anywhere, in any map you want, but if you really just want a normal map with the stadium sitting it I can probably get that going too
Marius

Are you done with minecraft buildings? You havnt uploaded a new one in a while. Im currently playing on a PvP server, where people can completely destroy your town/buildings during wars. So i thought of making a small city in the air, with the bottom level being glass. The only way up for other people is to make blocks under them, and jump up. But since the bottom level is of glass, i can see them, and shoot them with arrows on their way up. The bad thing though, is that because of my lack of creativity, the city looks horrible. I’ve been looking around on mcschematics.com, but havn’t found any city that looks like mine, where i can get inspiration from. If you are still playing minecraft, making buildings and such, could you make a small city which would fit at about 30 levels over the water, without hitting the roof? Would be awesome 🙂
PS: I completed the pokemon stadium 🙂 Took a while, but was totally worth it. Unfortunately, the server i play on had a map wipe, so my stadion got deleted xD O’well…

I’m still buildin, just forgetting to post stuff lol. I might take you up on that challenge. could you give me a list of any facilities the place needs? (workshops, storage, maybe some kind of obsidian safe room?)
Marius

I want it easy to defend, so i’ve made it a small one so i can easily move from one end to another. Its 4 chunks (yeah, that small 😛 Building another city where there will be no war, so rather make that big).
There is 3 houses in 3 chunks, and 1 safehouse/store room. Because the server has the plugin Lockette, there’s not really a need for a ultra-safe house because people cant get in your chests anyway, though the storage could be made by obsidian just to make it look safer 😛 The houses, or atleast the house i built has room for 8 chests, 3 workbenches and 3 furnaces. However, i just have one small living room, no bedroom or anything else, so thats mainly the challenge, making the houses complete with such small place to work on 😛
Just think that the city you make should be safe, and rather small, then build whatever you want ^^
Will be checking your new stuff now 😛 Thank you

Hi, we’re currently on this project and we’re down to the last 2 rooms which looks like a lavatory for men and women on each side/corners. can you please post screenies of it too? We don’t know how to figure out the tiles you used in mcedit for it 😦 Thanks in advance

I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking. Is it about how I made the stone slabs floors? I just stacked one ontop of the other to make a full block. I didn’t use MCEdit for anything except making the .schematic file for others to download it.

This is awesome and I want to re-create it, however I cannot download those schematic files for some reason! Could you give me some basic dimensions of how long/wide/tall this thing is?

You can’t count just by looking at the images? I don’t even remember, but from looking at the first picture, I count 25 blocks in height.
